3 weeks, 3 weddings
don't ever do that to me again.
i am soiled and destroyed.
but breathing deep sighs of respect.
not 'self' respect of course, that died long before the ceremony at wedding #1.
its more of a 'love' respect, and the respect of allowing it.
a wedding is a basket of rainbow easter eggs, each sweeter than the next.
but after 3 basket in 3 weeks, shit starts to boil.
and it don't smell too good right now.
my friend steve once told me: love is a gun, it shoots off and fucks up.

Campsite C-11
dont go to festivals.
especially fancy new festivals with low attendance levels.
you are forced to watch your favorite bands from wherever you want.
there are no lines for getting beer, and no lines for peeing it out.
there are no lines anywhere.
we camped about 5km north of the venue, at the beautiful and scenic dryden creek resort.
allocated campsite C-10, but spent most of the holiday over in C-11, the messier site.
rivers and mountains, and bendy trees, and stacks of cheese.
hitchhiked to the party both days.
took about 3 minutes on day 1, 20 minutes on day 2.
in any event, people stop for hot girls with odd boyfriends.
especially if the girl is holding a sign that says "CONCERT...please!!!"
sound quality makes everything better.
this festival sounded awesome, on all 3 stages.
every stage had a party garden.
favorites: bad religion, mother mother, michael bernard fitzgerald, and 3 nights of gonzo camping.
next weekend: andy gets married.
gunpowder.

why is everything in life so much more intriguing when im buzzed by myself?
start the words here, when you come back later.
i floss on these outdoor explosions of music and camping.
tonight i illegally downloaded 2 mother mother albums, 2 decemberists albums, and 2 tokyo police club albums. winner gets a t-shirt bought by me, which in turn, will pay them more than the free-pre-inspiration that helped make the $100 ticket to the weekend party worth every dime and broken spine combined.
matt better show up.
the new album is good enough, but this new band, i just dont feel it.
they weren't there, back then.
at the commodore, at the edgefest side stage, at the coquitlam ice rink.
then again, maybe i cheat, and use pre-negativity to trick my brain into getting more happy, and making more fun and fancy dance moves.
'all ages' was one of the first punk CD's i ever owned.
and its a best-of bad religion album, that came out in like '94, or never came out at all.
seeing a real punk band (for the 3rd time, but this time not at a warpytour) will be a finalizing super-highlight to the weekend's festivities. yes, im gonna watch DEVO, but im not gonna let myself remember loving it so much.
jonesy offered me a place to stay in squirmish, but i declined right away.
"no dice, i love camping."
booked us a sweet creekside spot, 2 months ago, all reserved and ready.
i tried calling the campsite today, to ask when the latest check-in was, just in case a tornado or crazy-man-on-fire disrupted our commute, but no one answered, twice, and it went to the campsites voice-mail-box, which was full.
"they be hidin' from they phones!"
reasons why i book things way in advance, dot com.
having no camping at a festival is a massive fail, but it sure makes the smarties plan ahead.
as usual, i look towards such debaucherys with a passionate eye, and a grin of silence, as this, the last weekend of summer approaches, and we bow our heads...
"THE FUCK?!?! i gots 3 weddings in a row coming up after this!!!!"
alright then, bedtime for this atrocity.
big day of work-then-travel ahead.
featuring me, and meg, and dreams outside of winnipeg.
